oh man i love the path of this story soooooo much. i love that it mostly focuses on their future, them growing up to get past whatever complicated things they had going on before, and throughout they're mostly working together to reach their bigger dreams and then getting there, it's really satisfying. plus it goes so nicely with the layout you built, especially how the final stories scrolls into that big final image, it's really cool!

aaaaaaaaaaaah you guys ;; i love the way each section was divided and how they all had accompanying art pieces, and you really took me on a journey of their dynamic and how they'd work once they set the things that come between them aside. when they first won it was :') but not as much as the smiles they sent each other way. and i love the formatting of the last bit especially!! scrolling down to slowly reveal the national team art was BRILLIANT and i just adore this, all of it.

oh my gosh, I love the presentation of this!! the literal boundary between the text and the art in each section, and the background colour gradually lightening till it rendered the boundary to nothing, and the text and image coming together in the last section was really satisfying. I gasped a little when I was reading the last bit and scrolled up slightly and got a peek of the image, so I really enjoyed the reveal of that image haha.

The chart of their relationship and how it grows is also beautifully depicted. I especially love the snippet in the summary and the intensity of Kitaichii kageyama haha, so earnestly watching. And the way they are both, finally, so settled and comfortable in their roles around and to each other by the end, their jersey numbers comfortable and well deserved for them both!!!

Ahhh I love this!! I thought this was an awesome illustration of the boundary between Oikawa and Kageyama and how that disappeared over time, and the boundaries of the court and everything! This had layers I'm so impressed.

I reeeeaally loved the art?? Like, Oikawa in a pineapple shirt is genius. And the way they slowly got closer in the images, until finally that!! last one!!! Ugh I stared at it for such a long time because their expressions were amazing and the Japan red!! It made me roll around on my bed with the feels let me tell you.

And the ficcccc so like, the way you guys began the sections, so and so is on the court and then finally both of them on the court really appealed to me. I love the poetic nature of things coming full circle, and you could really feel the character growth in this as these two got older and left behind their childhood rivalry/awe and finally became teammates in every sense of the word. I really enjoyed every word and scene (condoms lmfao) and just, amazing job!!

Admittedly oikage isnt one of the hq ships i rly got invested in so LIKE IVE NEVER EXPLORED IT THAT MUCH LOL but this was so good.... like kill me??? god like the first section was one of my favorites bc there was kageyama's obvious admiration for oikawa but it was juxtaposed with the distance between them and the feeling of wanting and admiring someone who's so far ahead of you was so poignant esp when oikawa was u know being snappy and focusing on training and didnt have time for kageyama

and ugh man the one description of oikawa like hold on

"Oikawa steps back, back, and runs; doesn’t need to check to see his feet were in the right place, doesn’t need to measure his steps. The shape of the court is in his bones by now."

NOT ONLY IS THIS GORGEOUS AND CAPTURES HOW I IMAGINE PPL WHO DO SPORTS AND JUST INGRAIN IN THEIR MUSCLE MEMORY WHAT TO DO but from kageyama's pov it also conveys like his own feelings abt oikawa implicitly and it was one of my favorite parts tbH

and then the next one jumps to the future and its like kageyama's world was expanding but oikawa was still, like it said, a constant figure, a pillar to strive for etc. and then the ugly shirt line like killed me a+++ AND WHEN KAGEYAMA SAYS OIKAWA IS SOMEONE TO LEARN FROM UUGHHH

jumping back a bit bc im all over the place but when oikawa was/is so important to kageyama and the ppl around them arent aware of it, throughout the whole second section the contrast and kinda dramatic irony of knowing oikage's history and then seeing ppl who dont know oikawa was so good. ITS LIKE KAGEYAMA KNOWS HOW GREAT OIKAWA IS and just. seeing ppl like nakamura be like "yeah i've been watching him too bc he serves like you" WAS SO GOOD

honestly that line really got me. it is the perfect summation of oikage and i'm honestly so touched by this entire entry. team oikage, always striving high and always managing to exceed expectations.

OH M A N THIS IS SO AMAZING!!

i love love love your formatting and layout for this! it's so aesthetically pleasing to look at! and i especially loved how as you scroll through the final portion of text it lifts to slowly reveal the final image! that is such a beautiful and neat touch, especially accompanied with that scene! i whispered 'oh my god' as i realized that was happening i thought that was such an amazing and perfect way to end this!

They’re matched, stride for stride. He and Oikawa, they’re the same height now. He's not chasing after the back of the boy with a beautiful serve. They walk together onto this stage as more than anything they were alone.

i really loved these few sentences oh my g o d they're so good and hit in the most perfect way--especially the last line of that little passage. it was so so satisfying to read and even more so when accompanied with the art at the very end. this is what they've grown into and i am dying so much

your prose is so gorgeous and flows so well! and the art so beautiful and bright! i loved the placement of it side by side with the text! and i just really loved the direction this story took itself. i think it captured the theme really well--how it started showing the boundaries between them, but ended with those past complicated things and boundaries between them disappearing by the last scene. it was all so well done!

The emotional changes (from deep feelings,doubt, insecurity, humor, victory) throughout the pacing was very well-placed. It did not feel rushed and the conclusion was WONDERFUL! guys i'm honestly holding back tears at my desk because i'm at work and i don't want people to look at me funny but i'm just sitting here in absolute awe and wonder and joy because this is literally everything???

I was hooked right after the line. The variety in sentence length just in the section that accompanies the first image has such lovely flow, and then, oh my goodness, the contrast in the next section - “And here is just a man, wearing an ugly t-shirt.”

“is this how Hinata felt for his very first toss?” is also a line that made me yell, the writing in this piece is phenomenal!

The third section (!!! olympics!) is really cool to see a transition for Oikawa from using Tobio-chan to Tobio, and then:

“Kageyama is more than the lessons he’s learned. He just wants to be seen past the shadow he isn’t.” honestly I was so excited to read this I nearly missed the “please watch me too" bit and damn is it worth it. Them being together in the end is a well-deserved resolution over the development of the course of the fic, though it matches the sort of open-endedness I got from the ending; they still have plays to go, but it's still positive. Oikawa and Kageyama's relationship in canon is really intriguing, though I can't say I was really inclined to ship them till now - thanks for the new perspective!
