dude holy shit

no seriously Holy Shit this was so lovely, the blurring of dreams and reality is so!!!! good. like, just how cohesive the art and writing are together, and how it's jumping through so many different time periods (i just about lost it when i saw the 1944 one and afterwards) yet they all still tie the narrative together...aaaah, man. yall did a great job on this!

god you guys ;; this was so beautiful, and it takes us to so many places and times. i love the way the colors change with each section and delivers the mood of each piece, it felt so much like watching a movie even with just text -- and then the illustrations gave off so much light that i was loathe to leave them behind when i clicked through the rest. this was such a journey and i'm so grateful you guys shared it with us <33

I LITERALLY HAD TO SIT HERE, CURLED UP IN MY CHAIR WITH MY FACE IN MY HANDS, WHISPERING "OH MY GOD" LOUDLY TO MYSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN. AND I DON'T EVEN BASEBALL SO THAT MAKES ME EVEN ANGRIER NOW THAT I'M WRITING THIS COMMENT. I'M TRYING TO KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE AS I'M TYPING THIS SO MY FAMILY THINKS I'M DOING WORK BUT THIS IS TOO MUCH.

i don't daiya at all so i don't know this ship well, but man. holy shit. there were so many parts where i felt the tears about the well up in my eyes. the prose was so, so, so gorgeous. i felt like i was trapped/suspended in that dream space very often, watching them from the outside as the two of them try to figure out how to make their desires meet. miyuki being trapped in a time where war is inevitable and kuramochi just helplessly trying to keep himself going in the face of miyuki's possible death. i loved, loved, loved reading the prose. it was so stylistically beautiful that i couldn't stop myself from continuing.

the art was also really, really well-toned. the muted colors, the concepts of them coming together and being pulled apart by space and time. AND WHEN THEY MEET AGAIN IN THE PRESENT. oh my god, the art made me gasp. those shared gazes as they reunite. i almost lost it there.

this take on the theme!! i just!! this was just so, so beautiful. thank you so much, team kuramiyu.

wehs softly

this is lovely. i love how you guys blur the dreams together, a shared dream space for them to exist in, and that it's not constant, possibly not real. just yells softly and with feeling. then tying it to present canon Y E L L S MORE

this was very well executed guys, great job!

the prose in this piece is so... it's so easy to get lost in and i started tearing up without even realizing it? the tragedy of the war and the subtlety of the dreamscapes and the familiarity/comfort they hold in their dream place with each other, the longing was almost tangible. that scene where it was like "prove to me you're real" and they're leaning in anD THEN POOF GONE i screamed that was so. ajsdklf; idk man but i'm feeling Many Things
the art, too. i love the colours used, it fits in so well with the words and the storyline, like i'm leaning in furhter to read it all and then comes a beautiful art piece so i'm leaning back to take everything in again and just, wow.
this was beautiful!!

I'M STUFFING MY FIST INTO MY MOUTH AND YELLING VERY VERY LOUDLY!! oh my god team kuramiyu, i left this entry for last to read because i /knew/ it was going to destroy me once i saw that title card, and it absolutely, absolutely did. the prose is /beautiful/ and deeply immersive, building up each time period/setting really well and also painting the dream spaces in a lovely way. the poems also act as really good markers for moving between each sections!! and made me cry. and the art is simply, simply stunning. i love the use of colours for each artwork and the motifs of the diamonds (hah), and their expressions are honestly. amazing. clicking through to the last image and seeing the look on each of their faces made me honest-to-god stop breathing for a second, what an EXCELLENT effect and use of pacing. and i love how the bg colours of the text cycle through and come back full circle to the title card's colour, so i can just endlessly loop through this beautiful story and enjoy it, over and over. fantastic, fantastic work y'all!!! ;;;
